The Office of Community Standards exists to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where every member of the 麻豆传媒映画 community can thrive. Through education, accountability, and support, we help students understand their rights and responsibilities while addressing behavior that may impact the university community.

Our goal is not simply discipline鈥攊t is student learning and development. We believe that mistakes can become opportunities for growth, reflection, and personal responsibility.

Whether you are a student seeking assistance, a faculty or staff member reporting a concern, or someone looking for information about university policies, our office is here to help.

Our Mission
The Office of Community Standards educates and develops students through a fair and equitable process of accountability that promotes integrity, responsibility, personal growth, and respect for others. We are committed to protecting the educational environment while fostering student success and community well-being.

What We Do
The Office of Community Standards oversees reports involving alleged violations of university policies and student conduct expectations. We work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to:

• Review reports of student misconduct
• Facilitate educational conduct meetings
• Coordinate referrals to campus resources
• Assist with student complaints and resolution processes
• Support CARE Team interventions
• Promote behavioral expectations through outreach and education
• Help students understand university policies and procedures

What Happens After You Submit a Report?
We understand that submitting a report may feel overwhelming. Every report is carefully reviewed by our staff.

Depending on the situation, we may:

• Contact the reporting party for additional informationReach out to the student involved
• Refer the matter to another appropriate university office
• Initiate the student conduct process
• Coordinate supportive measures
• Connect students with campus resources
• Close the report if no further action is necessary
• Not every report results in disciplinary action. Our response depends on the nature of the concern and the information available.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Will my report remain confidential?
  • Reports are handled as privately as possible. Information is shared only with university officials who have a legitimate educational need to know or as required by law.
• Can I submit a report if I'm not sure a policy was violated?
  • Yes. If you're unsure, submit the report. Our staff will determine the appropriate next steps.
• Will the student automatically get in trouble?
  • No. Every report is individually reviewed. Some reports result in referrals to support services, while others may require investigation or conduct action.
• Can parents submit reports?
  • Yes. Parents, students, faculty, staff, and community members may submit reports.
• Is this an emergency reporting page?
  • No. If there is an immediate threat to someone's safety, call 911 or the 麻豆传媒映画 Police Department immediately.
