What Is an Middle Grades Math Education with ESL Degree?
A Middle Grades (4th-8th) Math Education degree from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is the first step in becoming a certified math teacher in fourth through eighth grade. Middle Grades Education majors can choose from four pathways: ELAR, math, science, and social studies. Students in the Math Education with ESL pathway will be prepared to teach mathematics in upper elementary and middle school. Many school districts in Texas require teachers to have an ESL supplemental certification.

- Pass certification exams for your certification pathway (4th-8th ELAR, Bilingual, ESL, Special Education, etc.)
- Submit a state application for certification with the Texas Education Agency
- Complete fingerprinting
