Superintendent Certification Program

SBEC Approved Program

The Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ offers a Superintendent Certification Program approved by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC). This program is designed for experienced educational leaders who aspire to serve in district-level leadership roles such as superintendent, assistant superintendent, or executive director.

Our program prepares leaders to navigate the complex challenges of district leadership through coursework aligned with Texas Superintendent Standards, expert faculty guidance, and a field-based practicum experience.

Total Program Hours: 16 Semester Credit Hours (240 Clock Hours)

Practicum Requirement: 160 hours of supervised field-based experience integrated throughout the program

Practicum experiences are completed under the guidance of university faculty and site-based mentors, allowing candidates to apply leadership concepts in authentic district contexts.
