This Principal Certification Only program is designed for school leaders who earned a Masters degree in the past but did not secure the Principal certification. By completing the 18 credit hours of this program, candidates will be prepared to take the required principal exams and complete the expected practicum hours.
Eligibility
Interested program candidates may be eligible to pursue principal certification based on the following requirements:
- Show record of a completed master's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Successfully complete the appropriate examinations required
- Hold a valid classroom teaching certificate
- Possess two creditable years of teaching
Interested program candidates can complete a certification plan in consultation with the Program Coordinator for Educational Leadership.
