Jorge Rodriguez – Show Pride in Your Work Award

Overview: 

jorge rodriguezJorge Rodriguez served as a member of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Facilities team for over 20 years. He took great pride in his work and assisted with creating an environment that was welcoming to all. This award is named in his memory. 


The Show Pride in Your Work Award recipient is awarded with an engraved award for their outstanding contribution to the University. 

Eligibility Criteria Include the Following: 

  • Faculty or Staff member must work for the University for at least six (6) consecutive months prior to the date of nomination.
  • Employee has not received the Show Pride in Your Work Award in the prior fiscal year.
  • Employee does not have any prior discipline on file in Human Resources within the 12 months prior to the date of nomination.
  • Nominee goes above and beyond the call of duty to show pride in their work by enhancing and promoting quality in the services provided to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ community.
  • Nominee demonstrates leadership and provides guidance in interacting with the public, staff, faculty, and students above and beyond the expectations of their role.
  • Nominee provides great contributions to the development, implementation, and fostering of advances in departmental operations, academia, creative services, and/or successful programs.

Nomination Guidelines: 

Employees may not nominate themselves. Eligible nominees are forwarded to the nominating committee to identify one award recipient for Spring 2025. Staff, faculty, students and alumni may submit nominations for this award through Friday, January 31st.
