Nursing Path Blazers: An Academic Learning Community at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­

Nursing Path Blazers is an innovative academic learning community designed specifically for pre-nursing students. Participants will start their college journey by taking a prerequisite nursing course completely free of charge, while also engaging in specialized experiences that provide meaningful introductions to healthcare careers.
 

What is Nursing Path Blazers?

Nursing Path Blazers is a learning community built around the pre-nursing curriculum. It goes beyond traditional classroom experiences to foster deeper connections between students with shared academic goals and the faculty who guide them. The program provides ongoing support and specialized opportunities throughout students' academic journeys.
 

When?

July 13 through August 15, 2026

Monday through Thursday,  9 am to 12:50 pm

 

How?

Take your first step toward a nursing degree with a free prerequisite course, CDFS 1013: Human Development, to set the foundation for your academic path. Our specialized learning community supports new college students with:
  • Free summer enrollment in CDFS 1013 (Human Development)
  • Supportive peer group and dedicated faculty mentorship
  • Essential skill building, including CPR certification
  • Targeted math and science preparation for nursing success
