Frequently Asked Questions

I have a rental car/am using another car - how do I transfer my parking permit so I don't get a citation?

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» parking permits are made of a cling material rather than a permanent sticky material. That way, you can easily switch them between cars. Please be sure that the license plates of all cars you use are registered in your account through your parking portal. Please remember that there is no sharing of permits - one permit per person.

I logged onto the Parking Portal but I cannot buy a permit/cannot buy the permit I want - what do I do?

Please call us at 972- 780-3022, email us at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»DParking@Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Dallas.edu or visit us in person from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. In some instances your profile may need to manually updated to allow you to purchase the desired permit.

I ordered my permit nearly a month ago and it hasn't come yet - what do I do?

Upon receipt you will receive a 30 day temp permit. If you do not receive your official permit sticker by the temp expiration date, please contact the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Parking and Transportation Services office.

Where is my permit accepted?

Annual and Semester Permits are valid in lots 1 and 2 from the main entrance. Resident and qualifying staff permits are eligible to park in lot 3. All System issued permits are valid at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Campus. The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» permit us acceptable at all system campuses in their perspective student, staff and guest lots. Issued citations and appeals are managed by the issuing institution.
