Orientation Leader Staff

Orientation leaders collage

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are the heart of New Student Orientation. They welcome new students and their familes to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», serve as mentors, and help make the transition to college a smoot and exciting experience.

What do OLs do?

Orientation Leaders wear a lot of hats during the Orientation season. Some of their responsibilities include:

  • Lead small group activities and icebreakers
  • Guide students and families through orientation sessions and campus tours
  • Share personal experiences and tips for success at the university

Why should I become an OL?

Being an OL is more than just a summer job—it’s a chance to grow as a leader, build lifelong friendships, and make a difference in the lives of new students. OLs develop skills in:

  • Leadership and teamwork
  • Public speaking and communication
  • Problem-solving and adaptability
  • Event management and organization

Have an interest in being an Orientation Leader?

We are so glad you have found interest in being a Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Orientation Leader! To better explain and understand the position, the orientation team is hosting tabling around campus where you can meet past and present Orientation Leaders!
