Office of Sponsored Projects

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP)

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) was established in 2018 at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». Our mission is to support research initiatives by providing excellent administrative services to administration, faculty, and staff in the pursuit and management of sponsored projects, and to engage in development strategies and activities to further the university’s mission.

OSP consists of a Pre- and Post-Award team that serves as the coordinating office for externally funded research. OSP is responsible for submitting all sponsored project proposals on behalf of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» to the respective entities (e.g., government – local, state, and federal; private; and nonprofit). OSP works closely with administration, faculty, and staff to assist and provide guidance in proposal development. OSP also provides proposal review services. Additionally, OSP assists with proper stewardship of award negotiations, award acceptance, and closeout of awards received by Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» while successfully ensuring the university’s integrity through the funding process. Further, OSP works with faculty, staff, and administration to facilitate and enhance partnerships and collaborations between the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» research community, federal and state agencies, foundations, corporations, and global research enterprises while ensuring compliance with university and external agency guidelines.

The Office of Sponsored Projects includes the following areas:

  • Pre-Award
  • Post-Award (non-financial)
  • Research Compliance
  • Intellectual Property/Tech Transfer
  • Contracts
  • Select Development Activities
