Once you've been accepted at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³», talk to the Assistant Dean of Health Professions (prehealthcare@untdallas.edu) about starting your journey. This is a rigorous academic program and your full commitment is essential, you're not alone though. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» has resources to help you at each step of the way.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» has partnered with Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Health's College of Nursing to develop the 2+2 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Freshmen students can choose any degree to enroll in the program however students are strongly encouraged to choose either the BS in Biology, BS in Public Health, or BA in Chemistry. Students will complete two years of pre-requisites at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»D prior to admission to the nursing program. Once enrolled at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Health’s College of Nursing, students will take focused nursing courses and demonstrate their skills with hands-on clinical opportunities and simulated scenarios to complete the BSN.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Health College of Pharmacy have established a seven-year accelerated program for future pharmacists, combining three years of undergraduate study with four years of pharmacy education. Freshmen students must be enrolled in the BS in Biology to be eligible for the program. After the third year in the program, eligible students will transfer to the College of Pharmacy to complete their BS in Biology and begin their pharmacy school studies.
